Have our public servants learned nothing from History? More and more I want to pursue these people with harder questions on how we have gotten to where we are. I feel sometimes these people who are running for office, with the exception of course to Ron Paul, that none of them are applying the lessons of history to today’s modern politics. I’ve heard the funny slogan that we are the “United States of Amnesia,” and I am prone to believe it!
At exactly what point in the game did Preemptive war become an acceptable foreign policy? Weren’t we supposed to be a peaceful nation? We all remember President Woodrow Wilson’s policy of “Making the World Safe for Democracy,” which of course led to more overseas adventures. But now we have retained to give ourselves the right to aggressively bomb, invade, and occupy HUGE foreign nations! And people wonder why the economy is so bad?! Ay! This is an ENORMOUS financial burden to have to carry! This debt’s not going away soon my friends. 3 Trillion for an Iraqi war is 400K per household. And don’t even get me started on Social Security! LET US OUT NOW! The young people of this country better wake up quick. Let me tell you what guys, these people are bankrupting us, and we have our future money being spent on THIS! Is it worth it? Honestly? How bad do you really want to be in Iraq, when you might have… a house? 400,000 in taxes would buy you an AWESOME HOUSE!!! Meanwhile, DING DONG, the entitlements are beginning. Let’s face it kids, the baby boomers took over Washington and have set themselves up to live like kings on our dime.
This is criminal! The Federal ID is literally coming in months. Soon the Department of Homeland security (the famous wiretapping feds) will have a perfect record of who you are, where you are, what you are doing, and a completely accurate picture of how to find you if they want to at anytime. The wool is being pulled over all of our eyes just as our Forefathers said it could happen. They paid a heavy price to give us The Constitution. It was for the future of this American nation that this gift was created. We should cherish it more so we can give it to our kids one day. Our National Symbols are too precious and dear to the spirit to allow them to be surrendered to Globalism and United Nations Resolutions. The battle is on for our minds, and we seem so eager to surrender our identity, national and personal. The more we march towards the visions of Global government, the weaker our Republic becomes.
If the youth of America who have a true stake in this election care, they will rid themselves of their ignorance of history and knowledge of our past, come to the Ron Paul Revolution, and let the noble spirit of Liberty again free this land.

Well said. There are such cycles that play out in the world and truly do repeat themselves. Such cycles that call for a depression in around 2010 and to last 5-10 years.
The true test of our will of the people of the United States will come under those circumstance. Great leaders of liberty will be in highest demand. Start with oneself.

I truly believe that this is our last chance to throw a lifeline to this drowning nation. We are drowning in debt, we are drowning in sorrow over the loss of our young men and women serving overseas, we are drowning in fear of our ever increasingly all powerful government, we are drowning in despair over the loss of our civil liberties and the loss of our national sovereignty.
We must man the lifeboats now, or all is lost. Do what’s right. Vote for Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who has solutions, not sound bites, for our problems.

I am doing what is right and supporting Ron Paul in many ways and hope more people start signing up for the Dec. 21st money bomb so it will exceed all others. Your article is great but I wish you hadn’t made the untrue absolute statement that blames the “babyboomers” because millions of us “babyboomers” just worked our “butts” off, had a good work ethic and were good fathers and mothers. When writing stop making these absolute statements unless you can back it up. There are a few “babyboomers” in congress that vote the right way, and thousands that support Ron Paul. Thank You
